Language cases against UU ITE in Indonesia

Since the law's enactment in 2008, language cases against Undang-Undang Informarmasi dan Transaksi Electronic Republik of Indonesia (hereafter UU ITE), also known as Information and Transaction Republic Law, have risen year after year. One source law is social media messages, which are result their users' lack legal intellectual comprehension. Defamation, hate speech specific persons or SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup), threats, decency, obscenity all prevalent components unpleasant content legal-related text messages. The issues addressed this study (1) category offence (2) microlinguistic macrolinguistic analysis type offence. objective, supported by a qualitative descriptive method within Forensic Linguistics approach, to identify system violations that could be justified based on linguistic facts. findings demonstrate texts with potential become can proven facts like word choices grammatical structure, while support elements disregard for ethics, literacy, editing steps before publication.
